Temporary Skill Shortage Visa
(Subclass 482)
The Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (subclass 482) allows employers to address labour shortages by sponsoring skilled workers when an appropriately skilled Australian worker cannot be found.

With this visa, you may work in Australia for up to two years or up to four years, depending on the stream and occupation.
Applicants in some occupations, a relevant qualification, skills assessment or professional license may also be required. Applicants generally required to have at least two years of relevant work experience in their nominated occupation. An approved sponsor may nominate and sponsor a skilled worker to work in Australia in an occupation listed on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List. Eligible family members may also be included in the visa application.
