Temporary Graduate Visa
(Subclass 485)
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. It allows you to live, work, and study in Australia temporarily. With this visa, you may stay in Australia for between two and three years after completing your studies and may travel, work, or study during this period.

You must be aged 35 years or under at the time of application and be in Australia when you apply. You must have held a student visa in the last six months and have completed a degree from a CRICOS-registered course. You must also provide evidence of adequate health insurance and an Australian Federal Police check for all applicants. In addition, you must meet the required English language requirements and provide evidence with your application.
This is a temporary visa, and the length of stay depends on the level of your Australian qualification. Graduates with a Bachelor degree (including honours) or a Master’s degree by coursework or extended coursework may be granted a stay of up to two years. Graduates with a Master’s degree by research or a Doctoral degree may be granted a stay of up to three years.
You may include members of your family unit in your application if they are in Australia at the time of application. Family members included in the application must meet health and character requirements. You may add your children to the application at any time before a decision is made. No other family members can be added after lodgement. If a family member wishes to join you after the visa has been granted, they may apply as a subsequent entrant from inside or outside Australia.
You must be in Australia, but not in immigration clearance, when you apply for this visa. Subsequent entrants may be in or outside Australia when they apply. All applicants may be in or outside Australia at the time a decision is made.
We can assist with your visa application by preparing and lodging your application, advising on visa matters, and representing you in proceedings before a court or review authority where required.
